The Sea Point Pavilion is one of the most popular spots in Sea Point and a favourite among locals and visitors alike. This outdoor swimming complex sits right along the Atlantic Seaboard and has been a fixture of the neighbourhood since the 1950s. With two large saltwater pools, a kids pool, and stunning views of Lion’s Head and the ocean, it is the kind of place that is easy to spend a whole morning or afternoon. The Pavilion is just 1.6km from Leeuwenzee Guest House — a 20 minute walk or about 5 minutes by Uber.

What to Expect: The complex has three pools to suit different swimmers. The Olympic-sized pool is 1.5 metres deep and great for swimming laps, while the diving pool reaches 5 metres and has boards and platforms for those who enjoy a jump. There is also a shallow kids pool at 0.4 metres, making it a safe and fun option for young children. All pools are saltwater and fed from the sea.
